History

The hotel building was built before the First World War and from 1914 it housed the Marianeum Institute, which functioned as a "shelter for old women". During the First Czechoslovak Republic, the Institute became part of the Union of Catholic Caritas Organizations. The original one-story building was rebuilt into a five-story boarding house in functionalist style in 1932. It still has this form today. After 1989, Charita reclaimed the property and on the threshold of the new millennium, it expanded the premises to include lecture rooms. Significant building renovations were carried out in 2018. Thanks to this reconstruction, the hotel has been significantly modernized, it's accommodation capacity has been increased and it also has a wheelchair accessible suite. In 2020, it will receive a new façade.
